The District Board of Directors, purchased the property in 1956 for $800 and built the 6th fire station serving the Fire District. The fire station served the community for more than 30 years with a fire engine and a paramedic unit in the late 1970's until it closed. With plans to reopen the Bullard fire station (Station 59) in July, 2022, the District will also reopen Fire Station 54, to increase the effective firefighting force throughout the eastern boundaries of the Fire District. This station will improve the District's emergency response times to thousands of residents.
