Born and raised in the North Central Fire Protection District, I have had the honor of serving the community since I was elected to the board in 1998. As a Central High School Alumni, I proceeded with my education at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo where I graduated in 1983. Since then, I have returned home to my Central Valley roots where I have spent the last 40 years being a third-generation farmer while raising 3 children with my wonderful wife of 36 years.
During my time serving our community on this board, I have witnessed the district grow in population within the 230 sq miles, We currently have w 73 employees and 6 fire stations. These past 24 years, I have personally worked side by side with our firefighting personnel and staff to oversee the responsible use of your tax dollars, As do the other board members, I assist the Fire Chief in high-level planning, and most recently executing the reopening of Station 54 (Marks and Nielson) and Station 59 (Bullard & West).
